self-portrait
this self-portrait is made up of collaged small tiles of paper. the images on the tiles are ten different textures, each in eight hues of grey and cut up into 1/2" x 1/2" tiles.
isometric color theory
this design explors color theory within an isometric grid. the colors shift from cool tone to warm tone. on each side of the "cubes," there are three tones of the hue.
golden ratio
this model uses the golden ratio; it is made up of 25 evenly increasing sizes of an abstract shape. the pieces were cut out with a laser cutter.
puzzled angles
in this project i studied ways to mix and fit 90 and 45 degree angular shapes inside a 12 x 12 inch canvas.
transformation
this project is made up of six 12 x 12 inch canvases. each canvas has different properties. the first panel is lines with 90 degree angles, the second panel is lines with 90 and 45 degree angles and the third panel contains lines with any angle. the fourth panel introduces curves, the fifth panel introduces circles, and lastly the six panel contains 3d elements. when places next to each other the panels represent a transformation from 2d to 3d.
